Theme
‘Find Love a Friend over Cake’
With Valentines day on the 14th, what better way to find the new love in your life than with a beautiful cake. Stop eating cake alone, search for Love Cake recipes, and dress to impress at this singles only event. A baker brings a guest, if you wish. Boy or Girl, Lady or Gent, it matters not, this is the 21st century after all, but you must be unattached. Your name will be listed as an attendee for all to see, along with a little bio.
There will be no speed dating around tables, just the chance to mingle and chat with new friends and possibly a new soul mate. Come with love in your heart, an open mind and a cake to impress.
Update 17/1/12
Well singletons, you had your chance, only two places were booked. I am now turning this event into one of our usual sociable cake gatherings. You will love this. Come and meet some new friends. Like minded people who love to Bake Eat and Talk about cake.
If you were baking a cake for your best friends’ what would it be. Bake that cake and bring it along to Harrogate
£5 per person, to be paid on the day
Plenty of Tea & Coffee will be served including a savoury interlude of Cheese, Crackers, Crisps and Olives to offset the Sugar rush that is so often found at CCC events.
Book a Place
A baker can bring a guest if they wish, but you must let me know. Complete the contact form below, with an indication of the Cake you will bake.
Allow 24 hrs for confirmation of your booking. Your place/places are not guaranteed until you receive this email. Exact location details will be given nearer the time of the event.
Points to Remember
Each cake must be large enough to slice into around 8 – 12 good slices.
Sorry, but no cupcakes, muffins, brownies, cookies, pies or tarts.
Home-bakers and professional bakers can join in. It’s not a competition, no judging, just a lot of fun.
And you get to take cake home.
