Wakefield – Comfort and Joy

Date: 03/12/2012
Time: 6.30pm - 8.30pm
Theme: Comfort and Joy
God rest ye merry Cake Club members
Let nothing you dismay
Christmas is fast approaching
So let's bake some festive cakes!

Our next Wakefield event is all about spreading glad tidings of comfort and joy. Take a break from the Christmas shopping, and get into the true spirit of Christmas with what else? CAKE! Reflecting the, umm, cosy setting of our venue for this event, our theme is 'Comfort and Joy'. So join us for some festive comfort cakes that are sure to make even the biggest of bah humbuggers feel all Christmassy!

**** Bakers only for this event. Sorry, normal guest rules do not apply for this event due to the limited places available. *****

Venue: A cosy, Christmas wonderland just outside of Wakefield City Centre.
Additional venue info: It's a 10-minute walk from Westgate station or the bus station, and there is limited parking. Free refreshments will be available.

Book a place

To book a place, please contact Racheal Johnson cakeybakeywakey@gmail.com with the following information:
  • Details of the event you are booking for
  • Are you bringing a guest, if so what is their name
  • What cake are you bringing, you can decide later.

Additional event info:

********* Please note that we only have 12 places available for this event, so I'm afraid it will have to be bakers only. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.*********

In addition to the usual CCC rules, can I also suggest that we avoid traditional Christmas cakes for this event - not because they're not delicious; just because I'm sure we'll all be eating our fill of them elsewhere!

Points to remember

  • Each cake must be large enough to slice into around 8 – 12 good slices.
  • Sorry, but NO cupcakes, Muffins, Brownies, Cookies, Pies or Tarts.
  • Home-bakers, professional bakers and men can join in. It's not a competition, no judging, just a lot of fun. And you get to take cake home.
  • A baker can bring a guest but you must indicate this at the time of booking
  • Take a look at our Home Page to see what fun we have.
  • Read what Clandestine Cake Club is all about and have a mosey on over at the disclaimer page before you book.
  • Register as a CCC member and join this group.
