If after reading the following answers, you still don’t find what you are looking for, please email me info@clandestinecakeclub.co.uk
- Q. How do I become a member of Clandestine Cake Club
- A. Sign up here Note: you must use lower case lettering throughout – except your email address). It helps if you put noreply@clandestinecakeclub.co.uk into your contact list.
- Q. Why haven’t I received my activation email yet.
- A. First check your junk mail. If it still isn’t there, it could be that your mail server host is blocking it. Or you didn’t add your email address correctly which often happens.
- Q. I’ve tried all of the above and I’m still having problems.
- A. If you keep trying, the system will think you are a spammer and could block you all together. Come out of the Clandestine Cake Club website and reload the page and try once more. If you still have problems, get in touch with me on info@clandestinecakeclub.co.uk and I will add you manually. Please give me a suitable username for me to register you with as this cannot be changed once it’s registered. Make sure you add in the subject header Registration Problems.
- Q. I received my activation email and when I click on the link to activate my account and it says it’s not valid.
- A, This could be because you didn’t activate your account within a few days.
- Registration will be deleted after about 4 days if you do not use the activation email. Please re-register.
Q When I try to log in there is a message saying that my account is in pending. Why is this?
- A. Once you have activated your registration email your account remains in pending until your profile is checked to ensure you are not a spammer. Once you are finally approved you are free to log in and join your group. Please do not try to register again using a different email address, just wait patiently to be approved.
- Q. How do I join a group/Club
- A. First you must be a registered CCC member. See above. When you sign in. Find your group/club. There you will see ‘Join Group’. Click on this and you will see that you have joined the group. This does not mean you have automatically booked for any of the events, you will need to book a place as per the instructions on each event details.
- Q. How do I book a place at an event.
- A. Find the event you are looking for either via the group events tab or clicking the events page at the top of your screen. Read it thoroughly and then contact the organiser using the email details provided on the event itself.
- Q. Why am I not receiving emails from the group itself when this is updated with events, blogs and generally updated by the admin/moderator or group member.
- A. When you join a group you need to look at your ‘settings’ button. Choose the type of email setting you want, No email, New Topic, Weekly Digest or All emails.
- Q. I want to create my own Clandestine Cake Club what do I do.
- A. Read the ‘How to Create a CCC’
- Q.If you are a club organiser, do you also need to join/register as a member? Or is it done for you?
- A. All Club organisers or potential club organiser need to register themselves as a member with CCC . This is not done automatically, but if you have problems registering, see the troubleshooting questions above.
- Q. Do I need to hold events at different locations
- A. If possible, but venues can be difficult to find, but if you do find a good venue and they are happy for you return, then please take up their offer. You can still keep the location clandestine.
- Q. I want to delete my account, how do I go about doing that.
- A. email: info@clandestinecakeclub.co.uk with details of the email address you used when you registered, and your user name and any groups that you may have joined on the website. This is to make sure that the correct account is deleted and any blog posts/events you have added can be transferred over.
- Q. I can’t remember my user name how to I find this out.
- A. Click ‘Lost Password’ and it will send you your user name as well.
- Q. I want to change my password and access my settings and profile.
