I can only agree with everything already posted. The venue was great – just the right size to display all the great cakes, and drink tea and chat! Thanks for organising Lynne! Really enjoyed yesterday, beautiful venue and the cakes were all amazing. Just polished off some of the delicious strawberry daquiri cake with my lunch I’d never been to The Barn at Scorton before but I was so impressed with it I’m going back this afternoon to see what other goodies I can find.

Big thanks to all who made it to Scorton yesterday, it was lovely in the pavilion with the log fire at The Barn at Scorton and some gorgeous cakes baked in May. It’s a shame so many had to miss this event, but we will all be able to enjoy the photos, if not the cakes – tomorrow!

Thank you Lynne for another great afternoon eating CAKE, the weather was horrible, but Venue and Cakes and Company was lovely.

Hope you are all looking forward to the weekend. I’m going to the Food and Drink Festival Sunday lunchtime, let me know if you are going too! The reveal for our next event will be on Monday, still space for a couple more – then you’ll be able to share the lovely summer cakes not just gaze longingly at the blog!

Windy Hill Bakery in Lancaster will be open tomorrow (Saturday) morning, selling off grocery stock and various baking/ cakey things, including plates and stands. Lots of flour for bread baking and suma products. Worth a visit.
