    I just want to advise that due to lack of support the event we have booked for this coming Thursday 1st November has been postponed. No new date has yet been agreed with the owners of the tea shop. I will post the new date soon.

      I have been experimenting with a variety of recipes, all of which have had the seal of approval from trusty work colleagues; my children on the other hand are a lot more critical and difficult to please.     So sorry you had to miss out tonight. You missed some fabulous cakes! Most of us went home with empty plates (from our own cakes) and very full tupperware boxes full of the cakes we were unable to eat tonight!

    A word of advice to any newbies attending: DON’T EAT BEFORE YOU COME TO THE EVENT. After eating several slices of yummy cake, you will probably feel sick. There could be at least 12 cakes to taste, so bring a large tupperware type box to take home samples from all of the cakes you couldn’t taste on the night! ;)

    Secret Venue Revealed!!!

    The venue for our first meeting is The Lord Haldon Country Hotel, Dunchideock, Nr Exeter EX6 7YF.

    I have been advised by the manager of the hotel NOT to put the postcode in your satnav to find this location as some satnavs send you up an unadopted track unsuitable for anything other than 4WD vehicles!
