Create your own CCC.

Clandestine Cake Club

Now growing into a new form of  social gathering. Bringing bakers and those who love to eat cake, together in one place. It’s becoming the inspiration for people to get baking again and with the different themes it inspires people to experiment with ingredients. It’s great to be able to meet and talk to people who’s eyes never glaze over with incessant baking chatter. I love it when strangers get together at these Clubs and leave as friends.

What’s it all about

If you love to plan, bake and love meeting and chatting to new people. Then why not get involved and become a Clandestine Cake Club organiser. Read the about page. See what fun we have by reading about some of our past events

Want to organise your own Clandestine Cake Club events on a regular basis.

Have a look at the list of venues who have offered to host a CCC event. Check that a Club doesn’t already exist. If there is already a club/group please join in and contact the organiser listed on the club/group.Club groups will only be created when there are events for that group with a legitimate organiser for it.

Top 10 tips for setting up a Cake Club

It’s really quite easy to set up your own Cake Club here are a few of my suggested Top 10 tips

  • Think small groups. This makes it more manageable and everyone has the chance to chat with each other at the same event.
  • Gather a few like-minded friends together
  • Start the club in your own home and take it in turns to go to each others’ homes
  • Have a theme. This makes it more interesting, it’s amazing how many different types of fabulous cakes people bake.
  • Allow a baker to bring a guest who loves to eat cake.
  • Allow cake to be taken home. This gives everyone a chance to try a different flavoured cake not tried before.
  • If your home starts to get too full with members. Try visiting your local Coffee shop/house and see if they will host one of your events at perhaps their quite time of the week, in return for you buying their refreshments.
  • Be professional and send a confirmed booking email when people book a place.
  • Think about Public Liability insurance – Check with your insurance company whether you need it or not.
  • Have fun
