We took a bit of a risk with the theme here, but June didn’t disappoint and we had appropriate weather for our ‘Flaming June’ inspired bakes. We met at Missoula on Micklegate, where we had a cosy corner that we packed to the brim with cakes! We covered all things summery and fiery, from strawberries, Pimms and Wimbledon; to lemon, passionfruit and ice cream; chilli, pepper, meringue ‘flames’ and creme brulee. We even had a ‘flaming lambourgini’ in a nod to our cockatil theme of last month – a nice piece of symmetry there!

As you may know, next month’s event is the last one as York Central Clandestine Cake Club, so book on now to secure your place.
